Change the World

Gandhi once said “We must be the change we want to see in the world”.

In Term 1 we talked about this quote as a grade, discussing what this might mean to us as a group.

Now that we are in Term 4, we have been able to reflect on how this statement relates to each of us individually. What can we, as individuals, do to make a change to the world?

On this page you will be posting your reflections – I look forward to reading them.

    Dear World,
I am interested & proud of the way we are blogging on our website.
I will create a cure for cancer & change the world. I will work towards this & keep trying different cures until I get one that works. I can educate myself right now & in future I can find all about cancer & its weakness.
I hope I will be able to cure cancer in the future. I hope your world-changing ideas will be done too. Good luck!!

    Dear World,
I am interested in learning about how Gandhi was able to lead a crowd of angry people to peace.
I want to change the world like Gandhi so I will try to pick up all the wrappers I see and throw them into a bin. I hope I can influence others into picking up rubbish because it is very important! If we all pick up rubbish, we can prevent animals from choking and the Ozone layer won’t get thinner. I hope this change will happen and all and all of yours happen too!

    Greetings 4NR humans,
I was interested in hearing Gandhi’s quote “we must be the change we want to see in the world”.
I will try to change the world by…

    1. By donating unwanted items
    2. Asking other people if they will help
I think that if this happens Earth will be the happiest place in the universe

I hope you agree with me, and thanks for reading

    Dear Wonder World,
I was amazed to learn how Mahatma Gandhi helped make India peaceful. I will try change the world by saving paper. I will do this by using recycled paper so less trees would be chopped down. I will also do this by writing double-sided and reminding my family to help save paper. I hope that you could help change the world too!
    Thanks for reading!

I will try to change the world by:
    *Saving Mother Nature
*Making sure the animals aren’t endangered anymore
I want to save Mother Nature because I want more forest life and more animals to live. I want to make sure the animals aren’t endangered because we want to keep the creation that was made.

    Dear world and 4NR,
I have enjoyed learning about Mahatma Gandhi.
To change the world I would stop people littering to help the environment by throwing away rubbish, encouraging people to do the same and telling off people who litter. This will help the world by growing plants, trees and other nature and it will clean up the world.

    Dear world
I was interested learning about Gandhi so that I can stop other people from bullying.
I think we could stop people from bullying because they aren’t hurting them selves they’re hurting other people feelings.
For example if one of your friends said I don’t want to be your friend that is bullying and hurting them.
If you read this I hope you will not bully other people.

    Greetings fellow human,
I was quite interested to see if Mr Gandhi had done what he had advised us, to do.
One way that I could be the change that I want to be in the world could be, me growing up to go on strike against those factories that produce chemicals and make pollution.
I hope that I can achieve this goal and I hope you achieve yours.

    Dear world,
I was interested to learn more about Gandhi and how he helped to change the world.
I will try to change the world by getting people to put their rubbish in the bin instead of on the floor.
For example I could pick up rubbish if it’s on the floor and put it in the bin.
I will encourage people to put their rubbish in the bin.
